GS-CP Canvas Pole Mount |
 |
Canvas
Pole Mount is designed to fit the plastic tip of most common
Cover Support Poles (Taylor Made, Taco, etc) that pass through
a grommet in the cover. It is important that the canvas is taught
so the pole does not fall to one side or the other and the wind
will not get under the cover. Check to see that the Gullsweep®
arms are parallel to the water and that the vanes will not touch
the surface (and produce wear to the canvas). |
- Thread
the Center Pin provided with your GS-1 into the threaded
end of the GS-CP.
- Place
the Stainless Steel Washer on the Center Pin, then the O-Ring
to keep it in place.
- Push
the GS-CP Assembly on the Support Pole before the canvas
has been installed.
|
Notes:
- If
the GS-CP hole is too tight you can cut a slot in the open
end with a hack saw. This will allow it to expand slightly.
Cut a little at a time until it fits securely.
- If
the GS-CP is too loose on the support pole, use tape or
a rubber band to build up pin dia.
- Adjust
the pole height to have some tension on the cover. Loose
poles may get picked up by the wind and the bottom moved
out of position.
- Insure
adequate clearance between the rotating Gullsweep and the
cover to prevent wear or tearing of cover. If necessary,
the GS-CP can be put on the Pole after the canvas for more
height, or the arms can be bent up and down, level to gain
height over the canvas (see GS-1 Instruction Sheet.)
